Overview: Purpose of the Job:

The Retail Supply Chain Analyst role is to support all of Menard’s forecasting and supply chain initiatives. This position will report into Supply Chain and work closely with Sales in the coordination of demand planning, analytics, budgets, and business strategies. They will have responsibility of working with the Menard’s account and effectively develop forecasting models, inventory and order reports, and fulfillment strategies. The role will involve working with in the Menards corporate office as full-time onsite vendor representative, coordinating remotely with Werner cross-functional teams.
Effective communication and teamwork skills are critical for this position as the successful candidate will interact with various personnel in multiple departments. They also need to be able to present their conclusions effectively, so relationship building, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong analytical skills will be required to ensure accuracy in processing relevant data and strong mathematical/Excel skills are needed to perform calculations. High attention to detail is needed to ensure that all factors relevant to the customers demand level are considered
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

• Provide comprehensive demand planning for all products within the Menards assortment
• Understand the flow of inventory as it relates to promotions, product launches, POG updates, and new stores
• Prepare reports analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions to support the SIOP process
• Understand the flow of the supply chain as it relates to the product mix/size and Menard’s requirements
• Provide a single point of contact for Menard’s merchandising and operational teams as it relates to Werner Supply Chain initiatives and product fulfillment
• Closely monitor inventory on-hands, fill rate and lead time performance reports on a weekly basis, communicate any issues and provide viable solutions to improve
• Coordinate with Werner Accounts Payable to validate and dispute compliance deductions
• Work with Werner’s international planning team to implement Direct Import China shipping terms and to execute periodic Special Buy and Holiday promotions
• Schedule weekly calls with Menard’s Inventory Analyst to gain better insight on projected inventory and ordering levels, using outputs of this meeting, implement changes in the forecast or order execution.
• Provide weekly summary of forecast vs orders, communicate adjustments and project future changes
• Work closely with internal partners to resolve any customer-related matters such as lead time and/or fill rate issues
• Represent sales management in making real-time decisions within day-to-day activities in Supply Chain/Logistics issues on merchandising strategy
• Understand and track Menard’s purchases as they relate to achieving business plan goals across departments
• Generate/adjust purchase orders to replenish stores/DCs
• Track, coordinate, measure, and understand promotions and their impact on the Supply Chain and forecast

Qualifications:Experience & Education:

• BS/BA Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with retail operations (Associate or Supplier)
• Advanced skills on all Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Expected travel up to 10%
• Ability to pull data from multiple data sources, including COGNOS, Power BI, JDE, and Menard’s applications (DCM, Micro Strategy)
• Ability to analyze, manipulate, and gain insight from data source
